Day 46 4/8/19 Prescott Hill climb.

Day 46 4/8/19 Prescott Hill climb.

Apologies, there will mainly be more car photo’s today. Set off early again so we could hopefully get a spot in the pre-war Alvis display area again.

A few more beat us there but we still got a spot and weren’t asked to move, thought we might be as there where about 80 prewar Alvis parked in various places around the parking area, but they where happy us in their midst. A lot of people admired both TA14’s.

They start the day with a bicycle race with a number of different classes

We actually spent most of the day wandering around the car park, catching up with friends and admiring the variety of old cars on display. It was one day when I actually needed the fish eye lens and I had left it in the hire car back in Cambridge.

Ran into a number of Australian enthusiasts over for the event as well.

A very simple time in motoring

Obviously an ex Australian car

Interesting radiator decoration

A number of interesting mascots sited in the field

Maritta chats up a Bull Nosed MG Owner

Speed 20? (or 25 perhaps)

Very old bicycle from the bicycle race

Alan and Noeline's car snuck over for the event (not really)

Cars as far as the eye can see

Veteran Daimler

Brass band entertains at lunchtime, walking up and down the track

Bugatti weather vane

We watched a bit of racing and some of the faster cars get very busy on the corners. Its an event that is well worth visiting at least once. We didn’t get up to the top of the hill, maybe next time.

Short track is in use this weekend
