Day 11 30/6/19 Around Cuxhaven
Quiet day today, Maritta was typing up her report and I just
lazed around. Went for a look around Cuxhaven in the afternoon.

Architecture is very stark sometimes |
 |
A number of horse and cart's provide a taxi service around town. |
 |
Quite a crowd pay there 3 Eu to "promenade" along the beach. |
 |
Others enjoy the lawn on the sea wall for free |
We had planned on going to the beach soccer matches in which both
Eric and Sydney, Edina and Torban’s children, where competing, but something
got lost in translation so we arrived just in time for the presentations. It costs you three euro to walk along the promenade (beach
front) and as the “field” is on the beach, this is the cost to attend, not sure
who gets the money but its not the soccer club.
Anyway, it was an experience. Edina (Maritta’s cousin) works
on the committee and Torben coaches a couple of the teams.

Soccer stadium on the beach, we were to late for the action. |

Horse and cart taxi. |
After this we made our way back home.

Hans-Jurgen has a smaller one of these auto mowers to keep his lawn tidy. |
